It was Peter the Great who founded city in 1703. Thanks to source of mineral waters and gorgeous South landscapes Lipetsk was a popular place among Petersburg aristocrats. Till this day city is famous for it mineral waters and many tourist came here when travel to Russia. They are located in Nijniy Park, the park that is a pearl itself, it is more then 200 years old. This waters are used for medical purposes and for regular consumption.
The most famous in a city are singing fountains. Peter the Great had constructed them himself, the only other fountains of such tipe tourist can see on St. Petersburg tours. At nights fountains are singing clasical music, changing colours and dancing with a music. One of the few places in Europe when you can see something as beautiful and interntaining.
